BASCO Data is a collaborative company established by leading Beef and Sheep Societies with the single aim of providing the UK Livestock sector with a cutting edge database platform for both pedigree and performance recording.

Today the company is run by a Board of Directors drawn from the founder members and supplemented by appointed non-exectutive Directors with relevant database and genetics experience.

The BASCO Database is a tool which the user, such as breed societies and other livestock organisations and their members, can utilise and develop in a manner that helps their specific business needs.


The BASCO database is developed and administered by the UK livestock industry for the UK livestock industry. BASCO is proactively promoting and effecting professional systems to manage pedigree records and data for breed improvement traits of economic significance.
